HomeThe Ultimate Phone CallToday I'm writing with a sigh of relief. I have been offered a position with a dept. in Oregon. I will be starting on Jan.3rd. I want to thank everyone for the help and encouragement down the long path. I want to say a special thank you to Capt. Bob, for without his words of wisdom, I don't think I would be writing this letter. He took me under his wing and guided me through the dark waters of the orals and phyc. To give you one example of his dedication to us he called me at 6:30 a.m. the day after my first interview to see how I did. He called me from his home, I could hear his family in the background, I was completely shocked. This guy is for real, and for everyone who is unsure he never once made me feel like he was lobbying for my money. He just wanted me to succeed. There are some people out there who bash Capt. Bob and to those people I would like to say if you spent just fifteen minutes talking with him, or going through his web site you would quickly become a believer. Again, thank you everyone and good luck to you all! Josh Another: Good job man. I am sure Capt. Bob had some to do with it. He has been a help to me and I have been to 3 Chief's interviews since I met him. I know I have done a lot of footwork myself but his services helped a lot. What department did you get hired by? Congrats again......... Kyle Adding on: Yup...Capt Bob sure did help me too. Woooooooooo Hoooo ! I start Jan.3rd as well. What an awesome holiday season this is going to be for me. I'M here in South Florida.....getting ready to work for an AWESOME department. Good luck and stay SAFE !! A lot of these tests are all about confidence...if you have the confidence and enter the test already knowing you got it made....you will be successful. Capt. Bob provides you with that valuable insight. I was really stressing about the psych interview....knowing that countless numbers of people have failed it in the past. But Capt. Bob sent me the manual via email (no waiting around), I reviewed it and walked into that test confident. 3 days later I received a phone call I passed. 2 more weeks later, I received a phone call for a job offer. Thanks Capt Bob!!!! Norm Still more: I too have used the services of Capt. Bob. I've been testing for one year . I finally got to the oral board for an awesome dept. This was my dream job. And I have never had an oral board before. I had been reading these bulletin boards for awhile now and decided to try Capt. Bob I figured any help was good help. Well let me tell you first hand that Capt. Bob is a blessing to fire candidates. I took his video coarse which was worth it weight in gold for the reasonable price he asks. And I used it in my oral board. Weeks went by and I got the results...#1!! first time oral board. Obviously the man knows what he's talking about. I too received a call from personnel today to tell me I got the job> What a great x-mas present. I think Capt Bob deserves every penny he gets for his services..I highly doubt any of you would do it for free either. So that's my experience in this matter. Thanks Capt. Bob for all your help. Carl It gets better: Dear Capt Bob, I just wanted to let you know that I got hired in a department in So Calif.! I finished number 1 overall and got the job offer last week. I had all the confidence I could have ever wanted going into my initial interview and used your methods religiously. At the Chief's interview I "rode that winning pony" and walked in and out of it feeling very confident. After talking to one of the firefighters from after the job offer, he said that my confidence was noticed by all the testers and really separated me from the large group of candidates. Your preparation methods were great and I can't say how much using the tape recorder helped. I hope all the people out there, and I know there is a lot, faithfully follow your advice like I did. I am now going to move my family to the beach and make great money doing exactly what I love to do. Imagine... a woodchuck from Vermont comes out to California and finishes #1!!! THANKS Capt Bob!Steve from Vermont ______________________________________________________
Capt. Bob I got hired by afire dept. down here in So Calif.ago. It is a dept.on the beach about 15 miles south of Santa Barbara. I just wanted to thank you again for the help a few months ago when I met with you before my interview. It was like one day where it all clicked together, I finished #1 and #2 on two local depts. in home town of Santa Barbara. I will not say I mastered the interview process but, I will say that interview is a continuously improving process and with the tools you gave me I truly had my day and got hired thank you Dave. Capt Bob, I am not sure if you remember, but I lived in Palmdale and because of your tapes and resume, I was offered a position with the Kern County fire Dept.also the Antarctic Fire Department. I took Kern county, but soon realized my wife's dream of living in North Carolina where some of her family and friends are. She has subsequently been offered a position with Duke University trauma Center that she could not refuse. Using what was gained by your tapes and our resume, I was number 3 on Cary Fire Departments list! Not bad for 37 years old. I will send you a photo soon. Take care, Allan Smith Just keep those cards and letters coming in!
