Brass Fever

Here's a testimony from a recent seminar:
Hey Cap., Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful seminar in Avon last
week. The seminar along with the Gold Package
Program I purchased have really brought the scripts and
files home. Being able to participate in the class with my fellow firefighters also helped
immensely. Since Avon is a recruit training department, we all have gone through the same
tests together and it was enlightening to understand similar road blocks we have all
encountered. I believe a renewal sense of all of our commitments to the ultimate goal was
set back on fire.
A few firefighters (fireman's fireman) have left the hunt and I wish they could have
been there to here you speak in person. I have sent them e-mails to contact you
immediately. It would be a sin to loose some excellent "in-the trenchers" to a
little bit of ignorance of how to handle the orals. I have my written and orals with
Henderson, NV this coming week and my physical agility with Westminster, CO that weekend.
I'm strong in the physical agility.
If I do as well as I did last year with West., then I will hit the oral and chiefs in
the same day sometime in November. I screwed the chiefs oral royally last year with
drug/alcohol/ and relationship questions. I seem to relate well with some orals that have
just firefighters/engineers and a lieutenant/Captain on board. But I differently have
brass attack when it comes to the chiefs. I truly saw my mistakes in your seminar and the
tapes. My scripts are ready this time and the brain computer is running on 358 megs.
I'm glad to know you're there in a pinch. I might call on you or your son for some
coaching with West. It's not my Broadway but its really close. I wish I could for
Henderson's but it just isn't possible right now. I have sacrificed almost everything
except my families interest and even that gets the stretch sometimes. Sorry not so quick,
anything about the service never seems to be.. Thanks again. John Daugherty Littleton, CO

Thank you for your gracious detailed message. As you now know, it's easy to get lost in
the process. It's finding the correct formula to get back on the right road that can make
the difference.
You can get over white shirt, brass fever! It comes from not feeling prepared, not
understanding they really want you to succeed, and being worthy of the position. By
practicing with your tape recorder and getting the private coaching will help immensely.
Absolutely nothing counts 'til you have the badge. Nothing!
